Still high in spirits after thumping Cameroon, Amajita received another morale booster with the arrival of their top marksman on Monday.
Phakamani Mahlambi missed the opening game against Cameroon because his club Bidvest Wits only released him late.
Mahlambi is aware that it will be difficult for him to break into the team especially at the of such a great result.
“Since I came late and the team has already started with everything I can’t really say where am I going to fit in,” said Mahlambi.
“Its the coach’s decision as to when and where he uses me. My teammates have been doing well so even if am on the bench its not that bad because I know they will give us something,” added the Wits forward.
The 18-year-old hailed the team spirit and has faith in the team as they chase a World Cup spot.
“I am very happy about the Cameroon game, the boys showed great character and obviously we are looking to even do much better so we can qualify for the World Cup” concluded Mahlambi.
Amajita are set to train on Wednesday at 6pm as they prepare for their next match against Senegal who played to a 1-1 draw with Sudan in the other Group B encounter.
