Vodacom to walk with Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates for 16 Days of Activism

A few Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs players will be in attendance, to show their support towards this significant cause.

In 1998, South Africa adopted the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children campaign as one of its intervention strategies towards creating a society free of violence. The campaign continues to raise  awareness amongst South Africans about the negative impact of violence against women and children (VAW&C) on all members of the community.

The walk seeks to ensure mass mobilisation of all communities to promote collective responsibility in the fight to eradicate violence against women and children. The campaign’s objectives are to: attract all South Africans to be active participants in the fight to eradicate violence against women and children, hence the theme: Count me in: Together moving a non-violent South Africa forward.
