Bradley Grobler scooped the Absa Premiership Player award

SuperSport United forward Bradley Grobler scooped the Absa Premiership Player award for the month of August on Thursday.

The award was conferred at the Premier Soccer League (PSL) headquarters in Parktown.

This is Grobler’s first accolade for the first month (August) of the season and it will certainly boost his confidence going into the next two crucial matches against Cape Town City (league) and rivals Mamelodi Sundowns (Cup) respectively.

“it’s a special feeling to be honoured as #AbsaPrem Player of the Month. This is the recognition of the work that we have put as a team” said Grobler

The red-hot Grobler has so far netted four strikes and one assist at home.

Interestingly, Grobler has formed a great partnership with the big centre-forward Thamsanqa Gabuza since the latter joined United at the beginning of the season.

@SuperSportFC  is a very ambitious club, we want to win things. So naturally, they want to keep their best players. For now, I’m happy here.”

In his team’s last league match, Grobler opened the scoring account when Matsatsantsa beat the Polokwane-based-outfit Baroka FC 2-0 on the road.

Meanwhile Grobler is currently leading the Absa Premiership Top Scorers’ chart with four strikes followed by Highlands Park’s Peter Shalulile on three.
