SAFA CEO pave the vision for 2012

The South African Football Association (SAFA) Chief Executive Officer, Dr Robin Petersen today held a highly constructive meeting with members of the media, touching on a wide variety of issues.

The CEO spoke on some of the Association’s achievements and articulated the Association’s vision in finding sustainable success.

Among the issues he covered were the implementation of a new IT and communications backbone that will both professionalise the administration down to local club level, as well as provide the means to track player development and talent identification; the contracting of Amisco to provide a world class football analytics tool for all the National teams; the new commercial model to drive revenues for the Association; and the advanced grassroots developmental programme, among others.

Under the banner, From Success to Success, Dr Petersen articulated the organisation’s vision for the future.

He then welcomed questions from the floor answering a broad spectrum of burning football issues within the media and public.

The meeting was attended by some of the most senior journalists in the country who engaged the SAFA CEO on some thorny issues affecting the game.
In attendance from SAFA were Head of Commercial Simon Franklin and Technical Director Serame Letsoaka.
