Supersport united coach: We need Three points

SuperSport United and Bidvest Wits will both want to break their winless streaks in the Absa Premiership when they meet at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, kick-off at 18h00.

SuperSport drew 0-0 away to Maritzburg United in midweek, their sixth successive match without scoring. It has been over 500 minutes of play since they last netted in the league.

The Pretoria team has an average home record this season, with six wins, three draws and three losses from 12 matches.

Matsatsantsa are placed sixth on the Absa Premiership log with 36 points from 23 matches.

Wits were beaten 3-0 away to Moroka Swallows in midweek, their fourth successive loss and eighth without a victory. They have yet to win a league game in 2012.

The Johannesburg team has won just two of their 11 away matches this season.

The Clever Boys are placed 11th on the Absa Premiership log with 26 points from 23 matches.

In head-to-head stats, SuperSport and Wits have met in 39 league matches since 1990.

Matsatsantsa have 13 wins compared to 11 for the Clever Boys, while 15 matches have been drawn.

SuperSport’s home record against Wits reads: P19 W7 D6 L6 GF17 GA14. They have not beaten their Johannesburg counterparts at home since the 2006/07 season.

When the teams met at Bidvest Stadium earlier this season, Matsatsantsa claimed a 1-0 win thanks to a late goal from Erasmus.
