Chippa United Host Free State Stars for the time

Chippa United will play host in an Absa Premiership match for the first time when they welcome Free State Stars to Athlone Stadium on Tuesday, 17 August 2012, kick-off at 19h30.

United lost 1-0 away to Mamelodi Sundowns on their top flight debut, a disappointing start to their campaign, though they gave a good account of themselves against one of the title favourites.

They are placed 13th on the league standings after the first round.

The Chilli Boys will play three of their next four league matches at home and will be looking to get some points under their belt.

Stars began their league campaign with a 2-0 home win over Bidvest Wits, with Masehe and Chivuta getting their names on the score sheet.

This will be Ea Lla Koto’s first away match of the season. Last term they picked up 20 points from their 15 away matches, with six wins, two draws an seven losses.

This will be a first ever competitive league fixture between Chippa and Stars, hence there is no previous head-to-head record between the teams.
