Sakhile Hlongwa :My time will come

Sakhile Hlongwa insisted that his time is around the corner and is not panicking by the lack of action in the senior team.

Signed from Ethekwini Coastal where he scored 24 goals in all competitions in the First Division is yet to make appearance for the Glamour Boys and has been watching the likes of Bernard Parker and Kingston Nkhatha doing the business in recent weeks.

“I am focused on improving my game. The Coach will make the decision on when to introduce me,” he said following a gruelling two hours of training under the watchful eye of Head Coach, Stuart Baxter.

Hlongwa revealed that his game has improved since he started working with Head Coach, Stuart Baxter; “I have definitely grown as a player just by listening to the Head Coach. I have also received lot of encouragement from the rest of the Technical Team, the players’ in particular fellow striker, Sthembiso Ngcobo and the likes of Lucky Baloyi and Willard Katsande.

“The spirit among the players is amazing and joining Chiefs is the best thing that has happened in my short career. I am looking forward paying back the Management for the faith they showed in me despite my age. Born 17 years ago in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Hlongwa looks confident and ready to rumble.

“I am now just working and enjoying myself in training and when a chance is presented to me I will grab it with both hands,” added the youngster striker that has earned himself nickname, ‘Lastborn’ from kaizerchiefs.com.
