The full team led by Head Coach, Stuart Baxter and Club captain, Itumeleng Khune waving to hundreds of adoring supporters who were spotting the famous gold and black colours.
First stop was Rissik Street at the Legislature where MEC Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Lebohang Maile was waiting for the double champions.
“Our aim was to win the league this season and to reclaim the glory with Kaizer Chiefs, the whole team gave a fantastic performance , 30 games that we played were all too hard for us with some of our players getting injuries and had to change the formation week in and week out” Baxter
Stuart Baxter once more paid tribute to the colourful Club’s faithful; “It is a beautiful sight I see here this morning, passionate supporters in full voice wearing the Gold and Black.
“Family sticks together in good and bad times and that is what you have done in the past eight years.
“I told my players not to lose focus during crucial games. After we left with ten games, i told our chairman Mr Motaung that we will bring something this season, as you see our players are celebrating our success, it is a great feeling to all of us” Stuart Baxter
