Gavin Hunt: It was poor performance from us, but i'm Happy with 3 points

“I thought it was another poor performance from us,” he explained. “But like I said you play badly every week and get the points…

It was the Students desire and determination to walk away with maximum points that carried them over the winning line, believes Hunt.

“First half they were sharper to the ball, quicker than us, we were lucky not to be down. We were second tonight in all departments, but we got a result.

“We showed good grit and determination, and like I always say, attitude wins you football matches, I thought our attitude was fantastic.”

Hunt’s sentiments were echoed by front man Benjani Mwaruwari, who hopes to soon be amongst the goals himself as he gets accustomed to his new team-mates.

“Sometimes its not about the performance, its about the result, its about winning, getting the three points.

“As a goal scorer you always want to score more so I don’t put myself under pressure, but I know goals will come.

“I don’t have any target. My team-mates know how I play, they know I will keep the ball for them, all they need to do is to make the runs, then we will be ok,” added the Zimbabwean.
