Bucs reserve goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo is relishing the prospect of featuring in the Nedbank Ke Yona challenge scheduled for Sunday at Orlando Stadium.
With first choice Keeper Senzo Meyiwa away on National duty, Mhlongo is likely to be preferred for the number one jersey when the Buccaneers host the Ke Yona team.
The 1.84 metre’s tall keeper who is a product of the Orlando Pirates Youth Development programme told OPFC.com: “It will be nice to play this game – I have not had a chance to play for the team and of course, I am fine to play this match.
“If I get selected to play, I hope to be at my best – I have to be tested and although this will not be an official match, I am preparing myself to give my best.
“We have three keepers here, but like I said – I am preparing myself as I prepare for any other match. If selected, I will definitely honour that chance; it is great to be on the field.”
The Buccaneers who are the defending Champions of the Nedbank Cup, will square up against a group of selected players from various parts of the country, who make up the Nedbank Ke Yona team.
Tickets for this match are free of charge and can be obtained at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers outlets across the country.
All you need to do is produce your identity document in order to get a ticket for this eagerly anticipated clash set to kick-off at 15.00.
