Nyadombo – We can turn things around

Carlington NyadomboAmaZulu captain Carlington Nyadombo says his side are raring to go following the short recess in the Absa Premiership due to the FIFA international week.

Usuthu will continue with their search for maximum points when they take on Polokwane City on Saturday and Nyadombo is expecting to see a more polished performance.

“It has been a good break,” Nyadombo said. “We’ve been trying to figure out the way forward. We know that we’ve been dropping points and we’ve been working on our mistakes.

“The mood is positive and we’re sticking together as a team; we want to play well and we want to go on a winning streak.”

Nyadombo believes teamwork will help them turn the corner and has also called on the supporters to continue backing the team.

“When things are not going according to plan you need strong leaders within the team and the guys are responding well; I’m happy with the attitude,” he added.

“The technical team is also trying their best; we’ve been playing well so far but it’s time for us players to take more responsibility on the field.

“We need our supporters to continue encouraging us because their support means a lot to us. Together we can turn things around.”

Usuthu will face Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday at 6pm before taking on Bidvest Wits at Bidvest Stadium next Friday.
