Orlando Pirates midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo says meeting Polokwane City in the Telkom Knockout Cup last-16 means they have to dig deep to become winners.
Ntshumayelo was speaking to the media during a press conference at the PSL offices in Johannesburg on Wednesday
The Buccaneers are fresh from two back-to-back losses in the league and will go into this clash eyeing a victory at all costs.
Rise and Shine are also going through a rough patch having lost their past six out of seven league games thus far this season.
“We’re no scared and as I said, we have experienced players in our midst so we can’t panic now,” said Ntshumayelo
“We started well and there’s no reason to panic, I think the loss to Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 Cup was hard on us.
“It was not nice losing to them and especially the fact that it was a cup final.”
Known as ‘Bibo’ to the Buccaneers’ faithful, the 24-year-old midfielder says their target is to do well and focus on the future.
“We just want to do everything in our power to win and progress to the next round,” he added.
“We played so many cup finals last season and we want to change that by winning trophies.”
