Current log leaders, Kaizer Chiefs are keen to continue their good run in the league when they welcome the defending league champions, Mamelodi Sundowns to the FNB stadium on Saturday, 22 November. The fixture between the two rivals will be the pick of the weekend Absa Premiership fixtures following the FIFA international hiatus.

“We are excited and prepared to welcome the Brazillians at home this Saturday,” said Kaizer Chiefs’ Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung. “Looking at the talk about the match across all media platforms and in the public, we are expecting a large crowd at the FNB Stadium.”

Amakhosi entered the enforced international break as table toppers and will be looking to hit the ground running to stay ahead of the chasing pack, but will face a formidable opponent in the Brazilians and the fixture has all the ingredients of a  humdinger. Looking at the log, Amakhosi have not lost a league match and they have collected twenty eight from a possible thirty points after ten matches this season. The reigning league champions, Sundowns, are occupying the fifth spot with sixteen points from a possible thirty points.

“To ensure that excitement swells to a peak by kick off time, together with our main sponsors Vodacom, we will be hosting a roadshow in Tembisa’s Phumlani mall on Friday, 21 November 2014. There will be lots of fun, games and prizes for the supporters and shoppers from 12:00 to 17:00.” Motaung added.
