Ajax For Third Consecutive Win Over SSU

Training10_s_280x_100After completing the league double over SuperSport United last season, Ajax will look to make it three victories in a row over Matsatsantsa a Pitori when the two sides meet at Athlone Stadium on Sunday, December 7.

The Urban Warriors are now unbeaten in three matches following two draws against Moroka Swallows and Maritzburg United respectively and a 1-0 win over Bloemfontein Celtic.

Home-form has become a major element of Ajax’s 2014/15 Absa Premiership season with five wins, one draw and just one loss, which came against current log leaders Kaizer Chiefs.

Remaining in second place on the PSL standings, Ajax are looking to maintain their spot with a victory over 11th placed SuperSport United, who haven’t been good on the road.

The newly crowned Telkom Knockout Champions have only managed two wins out of five away matches.

To add to their misfortune, Matsatsantsa travel to Cape Town without two of their most influential players in the form of Thuso Phala, Sibusiso Khumalo and Dove Wome.

Phala was sent off in their midweek Tshwane derby loss against Mamelodi Sundowns, while Wome was forced off due to injury. Khumalo is set to undergo surgery on his knee which will keep him out for approximately six weeks.

Ajax on the other hand, will have to make-do without match winner Franklin Cale, who will be serving a one match suspension, for a, accumalation of too many yellow cards.

Show your support for Ajax Cape Town at Athlone Stadium on Sunday in Red-and-White, kick-off is scheduled for 15:30.
