When Wits travelled to Cape Town in the first round of the 2014/15 Absa Premiership season, it was Ajax who came out on top with a convincing 3-1 win.
Nathan Paulse gave Ajax the lead in the 76th minute, before Sthembiso Ngcobo equalised for Wits. Paulse then converted from the penalty spot to make it 2-1, before Keagan Dolly secured all three points for Ajax.
Wits leapfrogged the Urban Warriors on the PSL log after their 1-0 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday, however, the two sides are on the same amount of points and also have the exact same goal difference.
Roger De Sa and his technical team will have to make-do without Tashreeq Morris for the first time this season as the 20-year-old striker has featured in all 16 of the Urban Warriors’ games this season.
Morris has been instrumental in the team’s good start to the PSL season, however, he was shown his fourth yellow card of the season against SuperSport United.
Ajax and Wits go head-to-head on Wednesday, December 10 at Bidvest Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 19:30.
