Both Eric Tinkler and Sammy Troughton approached last week’sĀ game with the intention of bagging in maximum points, but it was not meant to be. It is in these final games of the PSL Season where teams find it difficult to collect points from their opponents especially since most of them are fighting for the Top 8 position. On the other hand some are fighting to remain in the elite league by attempting to move away from the relegation zone. This results in the final games becoming more interesting than the beginning of the PSL marathon.

Tuks did their best to touch the internal part of their hosts’ net but it was not their day. They did all they possibly could to score at least one goal but luck was not on their side. The few chances Bucs had were not converted as well hence the goalless draw at the end of 90minutes. It was clear by looking at the hosts supporters than disappointment was the name of the game.

We touched base with Mzekebhakha after the game to find out how it feels to play so hard but not collect points. ‘ ‘Let me start by saying we are all an African People who must be United in our Continent. These attack on our fellow brothers and sisters must come to an end with immediate effect. We cannot afford to have a minority group of criminals using our country as a scapegoat to ill treat our fellow African people, . I believe they are hiding behind the Xenophobic attack whilst they are practising their criminal acts on innocent people. My brother, let me honest with you, I am not happy with the way my beloved team is playing. I can only hope that we will revive and return to the real competition we have been giving our opponents in the last few years. I am not happy, that’s all I can say’. Bongani is a staunch member of Orlando Pirates who also chairs his Vosloorus Supporters Branch of the Buccaneers.
