The MTN8 first leg semifinal clash between Bloemfontein Celtic and Kaizer Chiefs will indeed be the centre of attraction when the two team lock horns at Free State Stadium this Sunday ( 16th August 2015).
Kick-Off for the game is 15h00.
The much anticipated match has already caused pandemonium with both sets of supporters claiming to be eventual winners.
Reminiscent of the good old days, when players like Shaka Ngcobo and Samora Khulu would passionately play with determination for Amakhosi, on the other hand the late Juda Yeliwe and Frisco Khomari would gallantly destroy any threatening moves while wearing the famous green and white gear, the current players will try to emulate that exhilarating atmosphere with some sublime performance on Sunday.
Celtic coach, Clinton Larsen shared his views… “We are fully wary of the problems that might be caused by Chiefs especially during cup games. Conceding a goal at home will be costly, considering the away-goal rule in a two-legged tie. Our players are extremely focused and everyone is craving for a chance to play in this massive clash”.
We will make sure that we utilize a strategy that will give the Chiefs defence vast predicaments to deal with. The good thing is, we have blended youth with experience and that will somehow give us the chance to expose some weaknesses in their defence. Playing at home, in front of our supporters requires us to win at all costs,” concluded the ever positive Celtic mentor.
