The activities begin on Friday, 25 September 2015 (this evening) with a gala dinner for the SAFA National Executive Committee (NEC), which will also coincide with the announcement of a major sponsorship partner.
The gala dinner will take place at Cape Sun, in Cape Town and all media personnel in and around the Mother City are invited to the event.
The SAFA Congress will then follow on Saturday, 26 September, which will report a number of important issues, among them, a healthy financial standing for the Association.
Last year, SAFA reported a R10m profit and that figure is expected to jump up three times – a sign of a vote of confidence by the corporate and stakeholders in the leadership of SAFA President Dr Danny Jordaan and his executive.
The media is also invited to attend the Congress proceedings.
On Sunday, 27 September Basetsana will play Zambia at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka (kick off 15h00) for the U20 FIFA Women’s World Cup Papua New Guinea 2016 first leg second round qualifier.
On the same day and same kick-off time with that of Basetsana, Amajimbos, the South African Men’s u17 National Team will lock horns with the 2015 Men’s u17 FIFA Junior World Cup hosts Chile at Athlone stadium, Cape Town.
Amajimbos head coach Molefi Ntseki will announce his final team after that match.
The U17 squad leaves for to Chile, South America on Tuesday, 29 September.
Before then, Banyana Banyana go into camp (Monday, 28 September 2015) to start preparing for their first leg clash for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games qualifier against Equatorial Guinea.
The match takes place at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa on Saturday, 3 October.
Five days later (Thursday, 8 October) Bafana Bafana will be away in Central America facing Costa Rica.
On Saturday, 10 October Basetsana will host Zambia in the return leg scheduled for the Makhulong Stadium, followed by the Bafana Bafana vs Honduras clash on the Tuesday, 13 October.
Banyana Banyana will then travel to Equatorial Guinea for the second leg of their qualifier, which will be played either on 17 or 18 October, with Bafana Bafana back in the country to host Angola in a CHAN qualifier on 17 October.
