Kane and Nicolas Otamendi compete for the ballHarry Kane ended his 13-hour wait for a goal as Tottenham thrashed Manchester City 4-1 and sealed a third successive Premier League win.

The England striker made it 3-1 on 61 minutes after Christian Eriksen’s free-kick bounced back off the crossbar, as Spurs brilliantly came from behind following Kevin de Bruyne’s first-half opener.

De Bruyne was marginally offside as he finished off a swift City break on 25 minutes, and the officials failed to spot another offside as Eric Dier equalised for the hosts on the stroke of half-time.

City set up to deliberately use their superb defensive record – the best in the league before kick-off – and hit Tottenham on the break, but they only really hurt the hosts once in this fashion, when they scored the opener.harry-kane-spurs_3356243
And Lamela wrapped up an emphatic victory with a deserved goal of his own when his tenacity beat the last defender just inside the box, and then the outstretched Cabellero, before he fired into an empty net with 11 minutes remaining.
