This weekend marks the quarterfinal stage of the 2015 Telkom Knockout with four tasty ties to be played, including a ‘Super Saturday‘ that features three games back-to-back for fans to enjoy. The action gets under way at the Orlando Stadium when 2011 champions Orlando Pirates welcome Maritzburg United on Soweto for the 15h00 kick-off.
With Pirates doing battle on a number of fronts, they are likely to rotate their players again for this fixture, which is a repeat of the 2010 semifinal in this competition that was comprehensively won 3-0 by The Buccaneers.
As ever they will have an energetic frontline with the likes of Kermit Erasmus and Lehlohonolo Majoro, and plenty of steel in the midfield.
Maritzburg are currently propping up the league but have new hope after the arrival of coach Clive Barker. Orlando Pirates have had the better of the past meetings, leading the head-to-head 13-5 with a further five games drawn.
