All the match facts and pre-game talk as Orlando Pirates prepare to do battle this weekend with Etoile du Sahel in the first leg of the 2015 CAF Confederations Cup final.

The final takes place at the Orlando Stadium this Saturday night, with kick-off at 8pm local time.

African Pedigree

Both clubs have proud records in continental competition. Pirates are in their second CAF final in three seasons, having lost the 2013 Champions League final to Egyptian giants Al Ahly. The Buccaneers remain the only South African team to have won the Champions League, a feat they achieved in 1995.

Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel won the Champions League in 2007, the Confederation Cup (2006). They have also won the African Cup Winners’ Cup in 1997 and 2003, as well as the CAF Cup (1995, 1999).

Road to the final

Pirates had to overcome Al Ahly to reach this season’s final, and did so in style with a 5-4 aggregate win, including a stunning 4-3 victory away in Suez.
