Our next opponent (Senegal), is a good team but they’ve shown that they’re beatable losing against Nigeria. We have to prepare because it’s our second chance to qualify for the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Now we have to work on the morale of the players because it is important that they’re ready for the next match.
I don’t think the teams from Group B are the strongest in the tournament because in the first semi-final, Senegal missed a penalty and they had the best chances of the match. The first goal we conceded was also a bad one so I believe the last four teams are the best not the two from Group B.
Pierre Andre Schurman (Head Coach, Algeria)
The objective was to qualify for Rio and we achieved that. I’ve to congratulate my team they fought up to the last minute.
South Africa is a difficult opponent but we managed to get the result and we’re confident going into the final.
Group B was the toughest in the tournament but it doesn’t mean that we’re the best teams in the tournament.
The final will be interesting because the two teams have played in the group stages and now it will be a repeat on Saturday.
