Komphela enjoying the ‘Cape of Love and Peace’

Komphela1Chiefs will be playing their second of three ‘home games’ at the Cape Town Stadium on Sunday afternoon when they face Platinum Stars.

Last month saw AmaKhosi beating Bidvest Wits 2-1 at the same venue, six days before Christmas, and Komphela is hopeful of making it six points from six as Chiefs try to keep pace with the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns, Black Aces and Bidvest Wits at the top of the Absa Premiership standings.

“We beat Bidvest Wits in our first home away from home fixture in the ‘Cape of Love & Peace’,” he told the club’s website.

“We hope to continue our good results in the Cape against Dikwena We are looking forward to a great match and, of course, a win.

“Chiefs’ fans thrive on confidence. They will fully support their team even after losing in the Telkom Cup final, as they came in numbers to the Cape Town Stadium. We must just give them a win and the experience of watching Chiefs play.

“We want our supporters to enjoy watching Chiefs. Football is not only a sport. At Amakhosi we are looking as well at the greater influence to the society. We want to affect lives in a broader sense of emotions and perspectives,” he concluded.
