The league has been tightly contested this season with Aces, Bidvest Wits and Sundowns battling at the summit and Mosimane admits he is filled with anxiety heading into each fixture.
“To be honest, every match is very difficult and every time we play I get nervous, we have anxiety – I’m anxious and we don’t know what’s going to happen,” said Mosimane.
In head-to-head statistics, Sundowns and SuperSport have met in 48 league matches since 1990.
The Brazilians have claimed 23 wins compared to 14 for Matsatsantsa, while 11 matches have been drawn.
“It is a local derby, this game has fireworks all the time. Some have said that this derby is more exciting than the Soweto Derby because there are always goals – it hardly ever ends in a draw. You know my emotions with SuperSport, it is going to be a good game,” adds Mosimane.
Sundowns have won 10 of their 24 home matches against SuperSport, suffering nine defeats in the process.
Last season the Brazilians claimed a league ‘double’ over United by winning 3-1 at home and 2-1 away.
