Kaizer Chiefs lost 1-0 to Jomo Cosmos in an Absa Premiership match at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday evening. As in recent games, Amakhosi were dominating ball possession, but it didn’t result in a goal.

William Twala and Ivan Bukenya started against Ezenkosi, replacing respectively George Maluleka and Willard Katsande in comparison to Saturday’s loss to Ivory Coast’s Asec Mimosas. The Zimbabwean midfielder sat out a one-game suspension after having collected four yellow cards.

The second half was more or less the same as the first, with Chiefs dominating possession. There were some good opportunities to score, one of them was a shot from substitute Hendrick Ekstein at goal. But the ball failed to find the back of the net.

Out of nowhere, Cosmos scored via a long range shot in the 85th minute from the edge of the box thanks to Mxolisi Macuphu. It was probably the first attempt at goal from the visitors in the second half.
