
Mamelodi Sundowns’ put in a spirited performance against AC Leopards to advance in the CAF Champions League, as the sides drew 1-1 in the second leg match. The Brazilians went into the Caf Champions League first round second-leg clash leading 2-0 on aggregate against Congo-Brazzaville’s AC Léopards in Dolisie.
Goalscorer Kekana had his attempt from a free-kick saved eight minutes later as Sundowns looked to grab a late goal.
But the home side were awarded a penalty in the 89th minute and they managed to level matters.
Nevertheless, Sundowns managed to contain Leopards in the remaining minutes and the two sides drew 1-1.
Sundowns won 3-1 on aggregate and they will now take on the winner between AS Vita Club (DRC) and Ferroviário Maputo (Mozambique) in the second-round.
