A first-half goal from Leonardo Castro, a penalty by Thabo Nthethe with an own goal from Willard Katsande gave Mamelodi Sundowns a 3-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs in their Absa Premiership tie at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday night.

On the other hand, Amakhosi scored first through Lorenzo Gordinho when he netted in the first half, but the defender was later red carded.

Sundowns now have 62 points at the summit of the Absa Premiership log table with three matches remaining, while Chiefs stay placed at No 3 with 44 points.
