Defender Happy Jele has been ruled out of action for up to two weeks due to injury.
Jele, who came on in the second half in the Nedbank Cup quarterfinal clash against Mamelodi Sundowns last week, has suffered a hamstring strain which has ruled him out of activity for between one to two weeks.
According to the Bucs medical team, Jele has suffered a grade 2 tear and will receive treatment to the affected area.
Meanwhile, the technical team can breathe a sigh of relief today after learning of the results into left back Thabo Matlaba’s groin strain.
Matlaba was forced out of Pirates’ goalless draw against Polokwane City due to an injury after picking up what was initially feared as a serious groin injury however, results have come back to confirm that the Bafana Bafana international’s injury is not serious and should be out for only a couple of days however, he will receive physio to determine his readiness for Bucs’ upcoming encounter against Platinum Stars.
