Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will not try and sign Jack Wilshere or Toni Kroos this summer.
Guardiola remains a big fan of Kroos, who he worked with at Bayern Munich while Wilshere has also been linked.
The new City boss is expected to add a new midfielder, despite the £20m signing of Ilkay Gundogan, with Paul Pogba and Thiago both listed as possible targets.
Meanwhile, Guardiola has assured Fernando that he does have a future at the Etihad.
The Brazilian was expected to be shown the door this summer but Guardiola sees him as part of his plans.
