Barcelona star Lionel Messi has followed in the footsteps of Aaron Ramsey and Phil Jones by dying his hair bleach blonde.
The Argentine’s wife, Antonella Roccuzzo, shared an image of the 29-year-old sporting his new style on her Instagram profile.
Samir Nasri became the first high-profile footballer to dye his hair blonde last year before Ramsey and Jones followed suit earlier this summer.
Now five-time World Player of the Year Messi has joined the trend – and he is set to sport it in Britain this week when he links up with his Barcelona teammates at a training camp at St George’s Park.
Messi will travel over with the likes of Luis Suarez in a 25-man squad, and the players will be put through their paces ahead of their opening pre-season clash with Celtic at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on 30 July.
Messi is looking to put a summer of struggles on and off the pitch behind him ahead of the new domestic season.
He missed a penalty in the Copa America final shoot-out as Argentina were beaten by Chile, and the forward announced his retirement from international football shortly after the match.
The 29-year-old was then handed a suspended 21-month prison sentence for tax fraud in Spain.
