The Red Devils ran out 2-0 winners in Ukraine, but Mourinho was left unhappy at his sides’ inability to retain possession late on – leading to potentially painful yellow cards
Manchester United qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa League on Thursday night but manager Jose Mourinho was left frustrated that his players didn’t listen to his instructions during the second half.
Goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic sent United into the last 32, as the Red Devils claimed a 2-0 success in Ukraine.
However, Mourinho complained in his post-match press conference at his side’s display in the final 15 minutes of the game.
United had controlled and dictated much of proceedings, but with the Portuguese insistent that his side keep possession in the latter stages, he was unimpressed as his side picked up yellow cards and offered their opponents a potential way back into the match.
