Wayne Minnaar announced Safety plans for #Sowetoderby

THE 2019/20 Premier Soccer League football season is set to start off with a bang when old rivals, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, square off during the sold-out Carling Black Label Cup clash at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, 27 July 2019.  Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 and gates open at 11:00.

Stand tickets were sold out two weeks prior to the highly-anticipated Soweto Derby this coming Saturday.

Public transportation will be made available through Metrorail, BRT, Top6 Taxis, KTK Shuttles and Rea Vaya to and from the venue. Free parking is available for all patrons attending the 2019 derby using their own transport.

Strict traffic control measures will be implemented from 7:00 am in the precinct and the general public (non-spectators) should avoid the Stadium precinct from 10:00 am until 19:00 pm.

Spectators are warned not to bring any prohibited items like: sharp pointed objects, any form of liquor, metal objects like cans, offensive posters, banners, and flags. A full list of the prohibited items can be found under the public safety heading (below) and on the Stadium Management SA (SMSA) website.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and will be entertained at the various activations which will include performances by a host of entertainers including: BET award winning musician, Sho Madjozi, Stokie (Amapiano DJ), Dr Malinga and Gqom princess, TDK Macassette.
