Gabuza returns to Orlando Stadium for the #MTN8 finals

Gabuza return to Orlando Stadium where he lifted MTN8 cup with Golden arrows  against Ajax Capetown in 2009, Ten years later will do it against against Highlands Park.

SuperSport United marksman Thamsanqa “Ganda-Ganda” Gabuza is currently the 2019 MTN8 Cup top goal scorer.

Gabuza netted two strikes in the quarterfinal against Bidvest Wits FC on the road to proceed to the semi-final stage of the competition.

His first goal was a brilliant cross from the right by Siyabonga Nhlapo in the 64th minute and the big centre forward powerfully headed the ball into the back of the net to increase Matsatsantsa’s lead after Bradley Grobler had given United the lead.

His second goal was converted from a beautifully taken spot-kick in the 88th minute to make the final score 3-0.

In the first leg semi-final against rivals Mamelodi Sundowns, the ex-Orlando Pirates man scored another header after receiving a perfect delivery from Onismor Bhasera’s cross from the left side. The final score was 1-all.

Gabuza did not score in the last MTN8 meeting against Sundowns but contributed immensely in the win.
