AmaZulu first team coach Jozef Vukusic says his side need to trust in their style of play, in order to go on a winning run in the Absa Premiership.
Vukusic, who had been speaking ahead of Usuthu’s game against Baroka FC, this weekend, says they need to put the recent loss against Mamelodi Sundowns behind them and focus on the positives.
“We need to change our mentality and start playing with confidence in our ability,” he said.
“This game is totally different to the ones we have already played, this is a team that’s in a similar position as us, so there is no favourite and we are not an underdog.
“We have to grab the opportunity with both hands and go for maximum points.”
Usuthu are currently second from bottom in the PSL, three points behind Baroka who are in 12th.
Vukusic believes his team need to start playing for one another, to solidify their defence and offer more creativity in attack.
“We have recognized that we did not get enough action going forward in our last game,” he added.
“It is important for our midfielders to support our attack and create chances for our strikers.”
“This is not an individuals game, we need to play together as a team.”
AmaZulu will travel to Polokwane this weekend, ahead of their game against Baroka FC at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium, on Sunday at 3:30pm.
