Paul Pogba Returns after long injury

Manchester United fans react with excitement to new Paul Pogba update

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Paul Pogba should be available for Man Utd when football finally returns.

Manchester United fans can’t wait to see Paul Pogba finally play alongside Bruno Fernandes when the Frenchman makes his long-awaited return from injury.

Ankle issues have severely limited Pogba’s game time this season as he has played just eight games, with his last appearance coming on December 26 when he played in a 4-1 win over Newcastle United at Old Trafford. Pogba last started a game for United eight months ago.

However, after undergoing surgery in early January to rectify the issue and a lengthy rehabilitation period, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that he could be back in action for when football returns following the suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“I definitely think so,” Solskjaer replied when asked by Sky Sports if Pogba would be fit to play. “Paul’s had a difficult season with injuries, he’s said that himself. Of course Marcus as well is getting back, so for them two this gives them a chance to start on a par or even ahead of other players, if and when we get going.

“But they’ve been focused. Mentally it’s maybe easier for them to train harder now because they can see the light at the end of the tunnel.”
Pogba’s return opens up the possibility of him lining up in midfield with Fernandes for the first time, after the Portuguese’s arrival at the club in January.

Fernandes is already a firm favourite amongst supporters, thanks to his three goals and four assists in nine appearances, and is yet to suffer a defeat with the club, which makes it no surprise that fans can’t wait to see how he plays with Pogba.
