Siyethemba Sithebe of AmaZulu challenged by Donald Makgetlwa 

AmaZulu FC will play host to Black Leopards in the DStv Premiership match at the Kings Park Stadium on Wednesday.

Kick-off is at 19h30 CAT.

Usuthu were narrowly defeated 1-0 by TS Galaxy away in their most recent league game which was played on October 28.

The KwaZulu-Natal giants had opened their 2020/21 league campaign with a creditable 1-1 draw at home to Orlando Pirates on October 24.

Meanwhile, Leopards suffered a 2-0 loss at SuperSport United in their first match of the season on October 24.

Lidoda Duvha then succumbed to a 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Baroka FC in the Limpopo Derby on October 27.

In head-to-head stats, Leopards and AmaZulu have met in 16 top-flight league matches since the 2001/02 season.

Both Usuthu have claimed seven wins compared to six for Lidoda Duvha, while three games have been drawn.

The Durban side has claimed five wins from eight matches as hosts in the rivalry, suffering two defeats in the process.

AmaZulu took four points off Leopards last season, holding the Limpopo side to a 0-0 draw in Thohoyandou in December 2019.

Before claiming a 1-0 win in the return game at Lucas Moripe Stadium in late August 2020, with a goal from Bonginkosi Ntuli.
